Sandev Trails is the result of a journey in the wild that is spread over two decades and across five continents. What started as two friends who craved to be among the wild, coupled with a yearning to capture nature's spectacular earth, led to a lifetime of adventures, memories and captivating encounters with some of the most beautiful wildlife.
Sandeep and Devraj are the heart and soul of Sandev - which in Sanskrit translates to a 'gift from God'. They bring their experiences in the wild to take you on a journey of a lifetime. Travel through the wilderness and indulge in your passion for photography.

Meet Sandev
My first wildlife expedition was when I was six, when my dad signed me up for a kids wildlife-camp in Nagarahole in Karnataka. Ever since, I have been in love with wildlife and travel as often as possible to indulge my fascination with wildlife. In the early years it was mostly the physics and engineering aspects of a camera that intrigued me, but as my photography matured I began capturing images artistically. Sharing my travel experiences through my images. I shoot on Canon, probably because that's what I laid my hands on for the first time and I am a loyal person. Over the past 3 years, I have traveled across North America, Asia, and Africa for nature and wildlife photography, studying the region and perfecting my photography. It has been a very satisfying journey which has only increased my yearning for the wild .

Being a national level Volleyball player for six years, to running a successful business, I realized that I needed to choose an activity that would help me relieve my stress, and that is when I chanced upon the adventurous world of photography and made it my stress buster. After purchasing my first DSLR, I decided to mark my newfound passion by simply documenting my kids growing up. Post which, I attended a few basic workshops to improve and refine my skills.
My first big step into the world of wildlife photography came with my very first wildlife trip to Kabini. I was ready to capture some animals in the wild, but I hadn’t encountered any wildlife there, but it dawned on me that I wasn’t saddened or disappointed, but was rather happy and had fallen in love with nature itself. I then promised myself to spend more time amidst Mother Nature, because nothing has the power to disappoint me when I’m with her.
With 5 years of bewildering adventures in various wildlife sanctuaries like Ranthambore National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, and the Masai Mara National Reserve, there have been quite a few extraordinarily breathtaking moments that I’ve experienced.
If there is one thing I am sure of, it’s that my love for photography has blossomed tremendously and will only continue to grow. Come what may, I will always be willing to share the knowledge and experience with all nature lovers and photographers
